FAQs - Landing Fee Billing & Collection

Q: How do I know I have a valid billing address?
A: The FAA registry is certainly helpful in determining who to send a bill to. However, there are a lot of aircraft registered to entities who don't manage the day to day operations of the aircraft and who don't respond to legitimate invoices. That is why we maintain an extensive list of actual billing addresses which have been gathered by our member airports.

We do track all FAA and CAR registration changes and notify you of those changes the next time an aircraft lands to let you know there might be a change.

Q: We don't bill based aircraft for landing fees. Can you handle this?
A: Yes, we can maintain a list of your based aircraft and not charge fees to them.

Q: We bill aircraft based upon weight. How do you keep weights for each aircraft?
A: We can track both Maximum Take Off Weight (MTOW) and Maximum Landing Weight (MLW) based upon the FAA's registered Make and Model for each aircraft and base your fee calculations on them. We have current lists of MTOW and MLW weights available or you can use your own.

Q: We have different fees and calculations for Day and Night operations. Can AeroWiz handle this?
A: Yes, when you post daily operations you can specify the type of operation being posted. For example, you can have Day and Night Operations, Overnight parking fees, ramp fees, etc.

Q: We raise our Night fees after five landings each calendar year. Can you handle this?
A: Yes, we can program your special fee calculations as required. Let us know your requirements and we can let you know if there is any programming charge for this or not.

Q: What happens if an aircraft is sold? Will AeroWiz still bill the previous owner?
A: When the FAA's registered owner name and/or address changes for an aircraft AeroWiz will show you these changes before billing another landing. You can review this information and move the aircraft and any outstanding existing landings to a new account if desired.

Q: What happens if a Tail number moves to another aircraft?
A: If a tail number moves from one aircraft to another you will be prompted to verify the billing address and aircraft type before billing any more landings to it.

Q: Can I print my own Invoices and Statements?
A: Yes, but why would you? AeroWiz has invested in specialized equipment to efficiently print, fold, seal and mail these out for you at a very reasonable cost.

Q: How do you charge for using the Landing Fee Billing and Collection module?
A: All fees are calculated based upon the needs and requirements of each of our member airports. We generally charge a transaction fee for each billable landing posted plus a fee for each invoice and statement generated and mailed on your behalf.

FAQs - B.A.T.S.

Q: Can we associate a based aircraft with more than on location or parking spot?
A: Yes, using BATS it's easy to track tenants who have more than one aircraft and more than one parking location.

Q: Can we get a quick list of all helicopters based at our airport?
A: Yes, you can quickly see lists of aircraft based upon a number of different criteria including aircraft type, parking spot location and type, aircraft make and model, customer name, etc.

Q: Can I send a message to all Jet and Turbo-Prop based tenants?
A: If you have the AeroWiz Message Center module you can create custom detailed messages for any group of BATS tenants which include data merged from these accounts.

Q: How does AeroWiz charge for BATS?
A: All fees are calculated based upon the needs and requirements of each of our member airports. We generally charge a monthly fee for each based aircraft being managed plus a fee for each invoice and statement generated and mailed on your behalf.

FAQs - Message Center

Q: How custom can our messages be?
A: You create your messages using an editor which looks similar to MS Word. It allows you to change fonts, colors, styling, etc. You can set up tables, and even include images if desired.

Q: In who's name are messages sent?
A: You can maintain a list of message sender's in whose name you can send them out. We maintain senders name and address, email address, telephone numbers and such to include in all messages sent.

Q: Can I send the same message out to users as both emails and faxes?
A: Yes, you can specify a preferred delivery method for each customer and Message Center will automatically chose that if possible. You can also specify secondary and tertiary delivery methods when necessary.

Q: How do you charge for Message Center?
A: Message Center will be charged on a fixed fee basis per month based upon a number of criteria including airport size and activity levels. In addition, there will be a transaction fee per message delivered via fax and mail. Unlimited emails will be delivered free of charge.

Q: How do I know if my message was delivered?
A: Messages mailed will be recorded as sent when mailed. Messages delivered via fax will be recorded as being successful or not with date and time of delivery. Emailed messages will be recorded with the date and time sent. Rejected emails will "bounce back" to senders email box.

Q: Can I see what messages have been sent?
A: Yes, you can see transactions for all messages sent for both Landing Fee and BATS customers including a copy of the actual email sent in the AeroWiz Account Display. A history of messages sent is also available to all contacts in AeroWiz custom contact lists maintained in Message Center.
